The Storytellers' Compass While sharing memories, participants "play" hexagonal cards representing their stories.
As the conversation evolves, the cards form a unique pattern of stories.
Stories are discussed for their relationships and their inherent values.
Story constellations are created using the initial cards and adding stories from world cultures.
Participants leave with many stories plus a way to organize, develop, and interpret them.
History:
The Storytellers' Compass has proved useful to Disney Imagineers, High School Educators, Community Organizers, Health Care Professionals, Writers, Actors, and Storytellers.
The Storytellers' Compass has been presented at the National Storytelling Conference, Florida Story Camp, the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival, the John C. Campbell Folk School, and the Disney Institute.
At The Disney Institute The Storytellers' Compass was used for family stories and the art of Imagineering.
In Los Angeles, with Adlerian Psychoanalyst, Joshua Gross, The Storytellers' Compass was used to explore both the artistic process and opportunities for personal growth.
